My name is Kellan Shanahan. I'm an artist living in working in Southern California. My work incorporates concepts of recursion, genesis, and myth. You can check all that out at kellanshanahan.com.  Besides that I'm an omnivorous reader of all things related to art, science, math, philosophy, and culture, hence the title. At the end of the day I see these fields as different aspects of the same project, mainly that of human beings making meaning of their world. This site is an exercise in drawing out and developing some of these ideas concepts more explicitly.
